These programs have been tested and refined through years of training Karate athletes to excel at all levels of competition.

Karate Team Conditioning Programs

The Unique Demands of a Karate Athlete

Karate athletes require an extensive blend of skills and physical capabilities:

  • Explosive acceleration
  • Responsive deceleration
  • Agility
  • Linear and lateral speed
  • Aerobic capacity to endure multiple matches
  • Lactic acid tolerance to endure the extended exertions of repeated katas or combinations in kumite
  • Ability to recover quickly in between matches so they can execute at their highest level as they progress through the rounds.

Programs for All Levels

Champion Sports Performance has developed and refined Karate conditioning programs that build these skills while also instilling confidence in the athletes that comes from knowing that their mind and body are prepared for any scenario they will encounter in the ring.

From beginners to top ranked athletes in the world – and from children through senior competitors – our programs present appropriate progressions to help athletes grow and perform at their best.
